DIY Glow Lantern in a Jar

Easy Kid-Friendly Craft: Glow Lantern in a Jar

Our daughter loves Halloween, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and all things glow in the dark, so we thought this would be the perfect craft for her.

To keep things simple, we used pickle jars that we already had on hand at home.  We cleaned them out after use and removed the labels.  Then we saved them in the cupboards until we had several to decorate.

We visited our local dollar store to pick up some basic crafting supplies, including glow sticks, permanent markers and glitter paints.

After putting this craft together, we realized that some glow in the dark fabric paint would have been amazing too!  You can find that here: Tulip Glow Fabric Paint
