Holiday Hostess Gift Ideas

When Uncommon Goods reached out to us to share some of their favorite holiday gifts with us, I couldn’t help but get excited.  I’ve always been a fan of unique holiday gifts and especially ones that are unique and useful.  And I absolutely love that the products you buy with Uncommon Goods support small businesses who pride themselves on handmade goods and sustainable practices.

After a quick browse through their site, I realized that they had a ton of incredible gifts for foodies and hostesses, and especially for the aspiring food blogger.

Below, we’re sharing four of our top picks for foodies and holiday hostesses.  All of the products shared here are high-quality and multi-functional.  In other words, they’re built to last and useful in more ways than one.

Take a look at our favorite items below and visit Uncommon Goods to find a unique Christmas gift ideas for the hostess or foodie in your life.

Himalayan Salt BBQ Plank

While searching through the Uncommon Goods site, one of the first items that caught my eye was their Himalayan Salt BBQ Plank.  This gorgeous salt plank can be used for anything from serving cold appetizers, to grilling up shrimp and kebabs.  It’s truly versatile and an absolutely brilliant way to serve your guests some delicious morsels in a very unique way.  We absolutely loved using this Pink Himalayan Salt Plank to marinate our mexican fruit skewers.  The salt adds the most unique and amazing flavor to the food you serve or cook on it.  And it also creates a gorgeous presentation!  Shop this item

This salt plank is such a great medium for entertaining and I absolutely recommend grabbing up some of their cute stocking stuffers, like a Himalayan Salt Block Skewer Set or Mexican Hot Chocolate Set.  Both of these sets would make such fun gifts for any foodie and are super cute for entertaining!

Marble and Mango Wood Serving Board Set

Whether you’re looking for something in particular or want to browse by interest or budget, Uncommon Goods has a ton of gifts for friends or family to choose from.

This gorgeous serving board is half marble and half mango wood.  It’s sturdy, but comes apart into two pieces, so it’s super easy to store.  We used it to serve up some delicious appetizers, like the yummy caramel apple bites you see above.  I love this serving board because it gives me two ways to serve in one.  I can use the marble serving board, the mango wood board or combine them both for a unique presentation.  Shop for this item

Slate Cheese Board

Another really versatile gift is this slate cheese board, which can be used from anything from hors d’oeuvres to plating at an intimate dinner.  We used it to serve up everything from fresh fruit and cheeses, to tapas and even a pork chop dinner.  It brings a feeling of elegance to any dish you serve and is just the right size for serving appetizers at a small dinner party with friends and family, or plating up a special meal for a guest of honor.  Shop for this item

Ooma Bowl

This is one of my favorite useful gifts.  On the Uncommon Goods website, they show the Ooma bowl being used as a snack holder and serving bowl.  I love both uses.  This was the perfect serving dish for our table on family movie nights, to serve candy and nuts or chips and dip.  It’s a great, easy serving dish for entertaining a few friends on girls’ night or for the guys on game night.  Since getting my Ooma bowl, I can already forsee that I’ll be ordering three more of these babies.  They’re just perfect for so many uses.  Shop this item
