Gente, we all have symbols in our family that bring us a memory.  These are some of my symbolic items that I feel represent my Tejano family in Texas.

One day I hope and pray, that my daughter sees these simple items as symbols of strength and love, and will build her own identity from them.

I hope that she will see them as extensions of me, our family, our culture and our strengths and be able to create her own legacy.
